What is coco peat used for?
Coco peat (cocopeat), also known as coir pith. coir fibre pith, coir dust, or simply coir, is made from coconut husks, which are by-products of other industries that use coconuts. Coco peat primarily consists of the coir fibre pith or coir dust which is obtained by processing coconut husk and removing the long fibres.
What is Coco Coir?
Coconut Coir is a 100-percent natural by-product of harvesting coconut. Coir consists of the coarse fibres extracted from the husk on the outer shell of a coconut. Because of its superior water holding capacity, excellent air space and drainage, coir is a useful soil amendment for potted plants, containers and gardens.
